Clarke Thrasher

Clarke has been a commercial corporate relocation specialist for twenty three years, with his primary concentration in office tenant representation, property acquisition and disposition. His primary markets of representation are in Buffalo and Rochester, New York. Clarke’s client list includes: Allstate Insurance Company, Saatchi & Saatchi Business Communications, Graphic Controls Corporation (Tyco International), Citigroup Smith Barney, Marine Midland Bank (HSBC), Global Crossings/Frontier Corporation, Southwest Bell (Cellular One), Shaw Industries, MFS Communications (Worldcom, Inc.), Cardinal Health, Gateway , Kraft General Foods, Nestle USA, Travelers Insurance Company, among many others.

Clarke has closed in excess of $896 million in transactions totaling over 6.1 million square feet. He began his career and was an original member in establishing the first Coldwell Banker Commercial Real Estate Brokerage office in Manhattan (now known as CB Richard Ellis). In nearly ten years with Coldwell Banker Commercial he was in the “Top Five” producers in the CB New York/Manhattan region four of his last six years. In 1990 Clarke became an Associate Broker with HUNT Commercial Real Estate Corporation and in 1999 was named their Director of Corporate Services. In the twelve years with HUNT Commercial, Clarke has attained “Broker of the Year” status the last eight consecutive years. His 1998 representation of Graphic Controls Corporation’s separate and simultaneous relocations for their World Headquarters and main manufacturing facility was Western New York’s largest broker represented tenant transaction ever. In 1999 he was named to exclusively represent the marketing and leasing of the 850,000 square foot Century Centre Redevelopment project in downtown Buffalo, the largest office redevelopment project in Western and Central New York.

Clarke has led many team oriented efforts on behalf of his clients. He possesses strong organizational and negotiating skills. Clarke has extensive experience in working with state, county and local government agencies as they relate to corporate benefits and incentives. His teams have in depth market knowledge which together with the software to develop comprehensive comparative lease analysis, relocation and renewal analysis as well as various database management applications create a dynamic and unsurpassed team oriented effort for his clients.

Clarke has been a guest panel speaker at regional NAIOP meetings, has written numerous real estate articles for commercial real estate publications ranging from Estate’s Gazette (United Kingdom) to the Upstate New York Real Estate Journal and is a member of the Buffalo Development Council. In 1994 he was the recipient of Allstate Insurance Company’s National Quality Commitment Award for his professional skills and attention to detail in exclusively representing Allstate’s substantial corporate relocation business in WNY. He is a 1976 graduate of the Loomis-Chaffee School (Windsor, CT), 1980 graduate of Wittenberg University (Springfield, OH) and the 1978 Japan Summer Seminar in Tokyo. Clarke resides in suburban Buffalo with his wife and two children.
