Derek became part of the HUNT Commercial team in 2023. Previously a residential real estate professional, he had the opportunity to do a commercial deal and connect with another commercial agent. From those experiences, as well as previous work involving interactions with investors, business owners, landowners, and developers, Derek decided to pursue his interest in commercial full-time. He is constantly evolving his commercial knowledge, keeping up with current trends, and taking exams to ensure he is fully immersed in all aspects of the commercial real estate industry. Derek’s favorite aspect of working at HUNT Commercial is the people – the family environment is initially what drew him to HUNT, first as an agent on the residential side, and now as a commercial sales professional. He also enjoys the opportunity to build relationships with his colleagues and with his clients. The scoop on Derek: He has an educational background in business and marketing, and is currently finishing his bachelor’s degree. When he’s not working or pursuing education, Derek enjoys working out, outdoor activities, and sports – he is a huge fan of the Bills!
