Yessica Vazquez was first introduced to HUNT Commercial through the Senior Vice President of HUNT Property Solutions, Stephen Fitzmaurice, when she took his course on property management in commercial properties. She then met Robert McDonnell, Chief Operating Officer of HUNT Commercial, and learned from him about the process of selling commercial real estate. Having recently received her degree at the University at Buffalo with a Bachelor of Art in Environmental Design with a minor concentration in Architecture, Vazquez is looking forward to what the industry has to offer and to bringing her seven years of experience in architecture/design to HUNT. Her previous experience includes attending a specialized school for art and design, working as a design drafter for RTSPC Pinnacle an architectural firm a Manhattan, and volunteering for the Cooper Hewitt Smithsonian Design Museum as an event coordinator. Vazquez is also certified in AutoCAD, a tool used to draw up official architectural plans/elevations in 2D and 3D, and has surveyed and drawn many commercial spaces. Vazquez enjoys learning new aspects of the commercial real estate industry every day and being able to apply her skills as she pursues her education. She has been admitted to the Masters program of Real Estate Development starting in fall 2022. The scoop on Yessica: Always eager to learn and try new things, she is working towards additional certifications. Another smaller certifications she’s earned is ESRI ArcGIS, a computer mapping tool used to input data and simulate the built environment on a 2D level. Vazquez also enjoys photography, music, art, history, and sports, and is passionate about anything Buffalo. Go Bills!
