Robert G. McDonnell was promoted to President of HUNT Commercial in 2023, the fifth President in the company’s history since its founding in 1911. While he joined HUNT as Chief Operating Officer in 2019, his history with the organization started years earlier. Bob was originally recruited to HUNT Commercial in the early 1990s, where he learned the complexities of the business with the help of a team of seasoned and experienced brokers, including then-Chairman of the Board, C. Stuart Hunt and then-president Stephen N. Hunt. His initial experience at HUNT helped him transition to a 20+ year career with Ciminelli Development Company. Over the years, Bob has been involved in all sales and marketing-related activities for a vast multi-client portfolio totaling upwards of 15 million square feet. In his time as COO of HUNT Commercial, Bob was instrumental in leading HUNT Commercial to record year-over-year revenue growth, recruiting efforts, and operational efficiencies. Bob is highly versed in all disciplines of commercial real estate including business development and operations, contract negotiations, property management, construction, proposals, market analysis, past and future trends, and client management/retention. To date, he has been involved in over 450 real estate transactions with a total value in excess of $1.2 billion. Some of Bob’s notable clients include Key Success LLC, Buffalo Success LLC, Ciminelli Properties, First Niagara Bank, and KeyBank. As President of HUNT Commercial, Bob is responsible for the overall management, strategic initiatives, business development, and multi-state growth of the commercial real estate organization, including the commercial property management arm, HUNT Property Solutions.
