HUNT Commercial Real Estate Appoints Robert McDonnell as Chief Operating Officer

HUNT Commercial Real Estate has announced the appointment of Robert McDonnell as Chief Operating Officer. McDonnell will be responsible for growing the commercial sales organization within New York, as well as implementing strategic initiatives that will continue to benefit the long term goals of both HUNT Commercial and HUNT Property Solutions, the latter of which began operations in March 2018.

McDonnell was originally recruited to HUNT Commercial in the early 1990s, where he learned the complexities of the business with the help of a team of seasoned and experienced brokers. McDonnell’s initial experience at HUNT helped him transition to a 20+ year career with a highly regarded commercial development firm, and his career evolution included working as a Sales/Leasing Manager, Senior Sales/Leasing Manager, Director of Business Development, Vice President of Sales, and the Senior Vice President and Broker of Record. He has been involved in all sales and marketing related activities for a vast multi-client portfolio totaling upwards of 15 million square feet. McDonnell is highly versed in all disciplines of commercial real estate including, but not limited to business development, contract negotiations, letters of intent, proposals, market analysis, past and future trends, and client management/retention.

To date, McDonnell has been involved in over 400 transactions with a total value in excess of well over 700 million dollars and has completed transactions in Buffalo, Rochester, Syracuse, Albany, and White Plains, New York; Pittsburgh, Philadelphia and Erie, Pennsylvania; New Haven, Connecticut, and Southern Ontario. Some of his notable clients include Key Success LLC, Buffalo Success LLC, Ciminelli Properties, First Niagara Bank, and KeyBank.

McDonnell is a graduate of John Carroll University in University Heights, Ohio and CCIM Institute in Chicago, Illinois.
